It's true. I even emailed Moonlight and asked him.

From my understanding, this is the main reason Moonshell hasn't been updated in so long, and the reason the recent update only affected the builder application and not the Moonshell core. He used the trial of the compiler to create 1.7x, but after it ran out he couldn't compile it anymore.

Honestly that is outrageous. But with almost everything there is alternatives.

Try and find RVDS then. Trust me, it's not easy to "obtain".

Could someone explain to me the difference between MDK-ARM and RVDS?

I see the major price difference, but I have no clue what each one would be good for. I looked at this comparison sheet http://www.keil.com/arm/rvcomparison.asp but I do not really understand it at all.
