Gaming Homebrew on 5.50 Prometheus

Hi,

I upgraded the CFW on my original fat PSP to 5.50 Prometheus a few months ago. All ISO/CISO work fine but the homebrew emulators and other programs that I had on there (with a few exceptions like Scumm and PSPTube) don't load anymore. Can anyone tell me how to get these working again?

I know I'm probably being an idiot but I have tried to Google the problem without success so if anyone has the time to point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Prometheus is your problem.
Downgrade to M33 if you want your homebrew to work again.

What apps doesn't work? Do you got Prometheus V4(Prome-2 in System Information)

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.

It's "Prometheus 5.50".

I've managed to get some things working by updating the emulators.

What I still can't get to work are PSPlayer MT, which gives a "The game could not be started (8002014C)" error, PMPlayer Advance, which loads but gives an "init fail, press x to exit" error and gpSP, which loads but gives some errors in japanese and then quits (I have a bios file called gba_bios.bin in the same directory as the eboot so it's not that).

Any ideas?

They're probably outdated homebrews.. Try to find the latest version of each homebrew you couldn't get working.

Try using eLoader. Seems to make most of the homebrew that requires 1.50 to work.

These homebrews are in the base of the GAME folder and not in a category folder, right? Some homebrews don't work inside a category folder.

Also update to the latest prometheus (it'll show up as Prome-2 in the system info), the sticky has a link to it.
