I recently update my emunand ReiNAND to Luma3DS emunand, i set up everything ok. But now i can't open the homebrew launcher to use decrypt9 and other stuff, when i boot up the New 3DS, directly boots up the emunand, no menu to select other things, when using reinand i got access to menuhax and there i can select Homebrew or ReiNAND. Thanks a lot! i hope anyone can help me out!

You can use the bin version of decrypt9 and boot it on startup.

I personally have Y set to load a arm9 boot selector and then choose d9 rather then try to remember what hot key i used

I don't think he's using a9lh. I think he just set Luma as his boot.3dsx.

If op is using menuhax then they should either temporarily replace their boot.3dsx.to HBL to use d9 or use a boot selector with 0 second boot luma with a trigger boot to the selector to boot d9 / hbl

You needed to do this

(Optional) Making Luma3DS work with an external boot manager
If you're using a boot manager (BootCtr9, CtrBootManager9, ARM9Select, etc.) to load Luma3DS, you won't be able to play GBA/DSiWare games, or certain games that need more RAM on the device (such as Super Smash Bros).

  • You can disable your boot loader OR
  • Change Luma3DS's path (refer to the Options and usage page).

(Follow the link)

Not this (this is what you did):

  • If you are using menuhax and want to boot Luma3DS directly without a boot manager/the Homebrew Launcher, also copy the boot.3dsx from the menuhax folder to the root of the SD, overwriting the existing one.

Quotes are from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Installation-and-upgrade

Edit: just realised the link does not tell you how to edit your boot.cfg. Anyway, put back your old boot.3dsx and edit your boot.cfg to have Luma instead of ReiNAND.

Yes i have it.
Try this
I get a black screen on boot
Luma3DS's automatic patching reports when a patch fails, to make it easier to maintain the patches in the future and to prevent unintended consequences. This means that if you installed a pre-patched system title which contains the same patches applied by Luma, this will trigger an error (which manifests as a black screen on boot). You can fix this by reinstalling the clean versions from Nintendo.

  1. Use SELECT to get into the Luma configuration menu, and toggle the Developer options to ErrDisp.
  2. Attempt to boot. If you see a "svcBreak" in the "loader" process, go ahead with the steps. Otherwise, you have a different issue.
  3. Get the clean system titles package from here.
  4. From the package, copy NS.cia and the appropriate Home Menu cia for your region to the SD card.
  5. Create a sysmodules folder inside the luma folder, and copy loader.cxi from the package to it.
  6. Plug the SD in the 3DS and use SELECT to go to the Luma configuration menu, then check the Enable loading external FIRMs and modules option. Luma3DS should now be booting again.
  7. Open your favorite cia installer (the guide has been tested successfully with FBI). If you don't have one it's outside the scope of this guide, check how to get your first cia installed on Plailect's guide (refer to the "Injecting FBI" section).
  8. Install the .cia files you copied in step 4.
  9. Luma3DS should now be functioning normally, you can delete the .cia files you used and the luma/sysmodules folder, and revert the Developer options and Enable loading external FIRMs and modules options.

Oh sorry I misunderstood your other reply. What do you mean by "can't boot it up"? What happens exactly?

Luma3DS doesn't have a high boot success rate. Sometimes it can take up to 3 times to boot... Even rxTools booted 99% of the time, but ofcourse, don't use rxTools.

If you have a n3ds and are on 9.2 may i suggest setting up a9hl? It only takes a minute

I'll send you my file configuration so you can just drag and drop it to the sd card and boot directly into luma or hold Y for boot loader
