I'd be happy to make and test some ISO's, if someone would like to share the creation technique. How are the ISO created?

@roku93 and spayrosam, please make one for WiiXplorer, SmsplusGX and GenplusGX.

Thx

from more testing, i'm pretty sure now that its the WiiXplorer, SmsplusGX and GenplusGX app at fault..

with djdynamite123 dol I can boot SmsplusGX and GenplusGX ISO
djdynamite123-source is not opensource
frown.gif

(dol only boot from the sd and has no splash)

Spayrosam, I'm not sure if related, but I know troythezombie had issues creating forwarder channels with splash screens for GenplusGX (and several other apps). I know he ended up having to use a separate forwarder dol that didn't have splash screen support (and also couldn't load from USB either, if I recall correctly). And I believe he commented that it was GenplusGX's fault and that it was picky about the forwarders used to launch it. If you would like I can PM you the wad that contains the basic (and limited feature wise) forwarder dol that works with GenplusGX.
Also is there a copy of the NTSC-U GenplusGX iso forwarder available that works, even if it doesn't support a splash screen, I didn't see one posted in this thread and not to get greedy but does anyone have a copy of the libwiigameload forwarder (and any associated files) that someone commented was working.
Merci :-)

Are these supposed to be compatible with USB Loader GX? Because I can't get any of the forwarders to work with it. I just get a black screen. Do the forwarders take a really long time to boot (2+ minutes)? I might just be impatient.

actually if you go to wadder.net and tell my buddy Djdynimite123 that you would like the source i am certain he will hook a brother up infact it would be great if you did i linked him to this very thread because he wanted a WII64 iso for his WBFS he is truly and honestly a stand up and very reasonable guy more over a great friend if you need someone to confide in or advice... Dejdynimite is your man he has helped me out alot in the past.
wink.gif
if you want I will PM him at wadder and see if he wouldnt mind helpin you out he helped my friend Mr.Shizzy make his Elf/Dol Forwarder Creator tool (I was the only beta tester for that infact because Mr.Shizzy and I are like brothers from another mother 2 lol)
wink.gif

Ill give DejD a PM on wadder he most def the guy for forwarders! See if i cant get you that source
wink.gif

EDIT: I gave him a PM hopefully he will get time to come help our with the whole forwarders and conflicting dols (prob loaded into mem2) also i dont know if this tool will help but it sure cannot hurt I know it contains a main c file and if you wanted the original LUA version for windows LUA player Mr.Shizzy has that source I know i helped him test and dev it...check this out
wink.gif
if you wanted the lua script or whatever if it would help at all shizzy would hook you up 2
wink.gif
you can find him on our game site ( www.theplayground-uk.com) and right about this time of night most of the time because he gets off work at midnight EST (we both live in upstate NY) So give him a PM at Theplayground if you want and quote my post if you like
wink.gif
good luck i gotta get some sleep guys

THANKS AGAIN SPAYROSAM AND ROUKU93! We wait with baited breath for the next releases!

DOL/ELF Forwarder Creator Thread

@ the guy above me

did you try the ones on page 16? (the ones marked by region) if you look i posted a YouTube Video of the iso forwarders loading it takes no more time than a normal dol (about 2 seconds) thats also on page 16 good luck
wink.gif
and just a note some ISO the load up black will work with vidpatch and region forces just depends on what iso and how it was made (the ones on page 16 are all pretty good give those a try bud) good luck!

Not that it was really needed, but I created a new Homebrew Channel high quality DVD cover (NTSC-U).
I changed the Title ID from Rayman Raving Rabbids (RRBE) to the Homebrew Channel (JODI).
I also added a barcode that scans to something somewhat related...

Thats kick ass TimeBomb! Mind giving a shot at a better MPlayer CE cover?
smile.gif
I want a black version using the default MPlayer CE graphics and its font.
biggrin.gif

ill second both those sediments! replacing my current HBC gfx now (I like that! very crisp) and +1 on the darker Mplayer CE
smile.gif
(I wonder what it looks like to invert the current one hmmm) also was thinking besides the fact dejD has a forwarder..Has anyone asked Spacejump his opinion? He was able to make GeeXbox Forwarder work when it was thought not possible so lets not forget SpaceJump
smile.gif
from right here on GBAtemp (dejdynimite123 has an account to but frequests wadder because he tends to the site and admins/moderates its best to PM him there on wadder less hastle for him and more likely he will find time to reply) well read my previous post SPAYRO peace love and chicken grease guys! Good Night!

i have just come up with some functions to manipulate the HBC stub which might be useful to people using these ISOs. it gives the ability to "return to" any title ID. this means that if you have a full channel or a forwarder channel for your USB loader, you will be able to enter the ID of that channel before the dol is compiled and then as long as you don't launch HBC or any other app that will write to the stub location and when you exit(0) (leave) the program that this ISO is loading, you will be back at the USB loader. whoever is making these dols to put in the ISO can PM me and I will explain the functions and including the stub. i think it may be better, though, not to hardcode the ID, but instead read the ID from a file on the SD/USB so it will not be a need to create 50 of the same ISO for different channels.

I got Dejdynimite123 on wadder last night and he sent me a pm saying this:P

Sorry for my noob question:

How do I actually use these ISO's? Here's what I did so far:

1. Downloaded the emulators "Snes9x GX 4.1.2 - Wii" and "FCE Ultra GX 3.1.0 - Wii" and extracted them to the SD-Card (path as written on page 1).
2. Downloaded the corresponding ISO's and added them via "WBFS Manager" to my HDD.

Then I loaded up my USB-Loader (USB-Loader GX r784) and wanted to start these forwarders but it only gave me a black screen/frozen Wii...

So what did I do wrong? Do I have to put the emulators on the HDD? But how? And where do i get those fancy (3D-)Covers for the emulators (like I have for the other games on the drive)?

Thanks in advance for helping another dumb-ass...

Aren't those the same ones in the 1st post? If so, then yes I tried them and had no luck in USB Loader GX. I tried the NTSC-U versions (Currently on 4.2U) with Force NTSC, without Force NTSC, VidPatch, no VidPatch. No luck. They all worked perfectly in WiiFlow though. It's not a big deal though because USB Loader GX has the built-in homebrew launcher for emulators and I can easily go back to the Homebrew Channel if I need to, but for some reason I can't use Homebrew Browser with the launcher, so I was hoping to do it with this forwarder. Is there any chance of the forwarders becoming compatible with USB Loader GX? Honestly, I would use WiiFlow because I like the customization, but I like the extras of GX (Disc loading, built-in Homebrew Launcher, selecting Alternate DOLs without going to the game settings every time I play a game (Metroid Prime Trilogy), etc.)

i can confirm that the ISO are not compatible with GX, something in the coding of the app perhaps, Wiiflow has no probs loading them

I'll see what I can do for ya. I really enjoy graphic design, but I only get a chance to do it in my spare time. Does anyone know what font MPlayer CE uses?

rolleyes.gif

is that in the sharefolder of mplayer itself? something like share/mplayer/subfont.ttf ? might not be for wii i guess..Not sure but check in the DL archive might well say in the readme or something dunno..Short of that you could PM wiiman123 and ask him he would surely know!
