there is a simple explanation why we don't want Wiiware for the moment :

things are going really fast in the wii hacking , and we might get soon (or not) Wiiware in usbloaders , but not with forwarders.
So we don't want to have to do the same job again and correct everything the day it will happen.....
Let's wait a little , to see what happens

Could somebody help me out my internet channel wad has an internal titleid of HADE. So far none of the forwarders are working on it. I just get a black screen when trying to launch. Could somebody point me to an NTSC version of the internet channel that works and that these forwarders work on. My internet channel works 100% , i'd just like these forwarders to launch it.

Regardless of if/when USB loaders incorporate WW/VC, wouldn't the type of information that would be stored in the WiiTDB database be the same as it is now? I mean, you're already accepting entries for Homebrew (which, ironically, are the only titles that should really have the potential to cause any confusion, given their Cxxx ID's, which could conflict with the few C64 VC titles), so why can't you start accepting data for WW/VC titles? As long as the entries are made using the true ID of the VC/WW (which the ISO creators should use as well), there shouldn't be any problems, right? I'm just not following. I must be getting feeble in my old age...

Of course, given that there are no 'retail' full covers for WW/VC, that's where there might need to be some adjustments made, as they'll all be customs and I'm sure there will be more than one person who thinks they have the best looking one. Maybe WiiTDB will have to start judging the covers and picking the best, or set up some sort of voting ability. Or allow multiple custom covers and perhaps getting the loaders to incorporate some sort of cover selection from amongst the available choices (using thumbnails to save bandwidth). Those are the only types of difficulties I can foresee with regards to VC/WW titles.

@TiMeBoMb4u2 - Have you checked to see if the other site(s) will take the covers? muntrue.nl doesn't seem to be on the same page as WiiTDB as I'm seeing requests on there for artwork that is already available on WiiTDB, so perhaps they're in some sort of 'competition' and will be open to accepting them in the hopes of gaining some popularity?

Hi all,

I've recently picked up on this thread and installed some channels to eliminate system menu usage/sd usage. I've installed FTPii forwarder, HBC forwarder and MplayerCE forwarder.
FTPII and HBC work fine and as intended. MplayerCE though, won't seem to load. I keep getting the following error message:

Loading mplayer ce v0.75
SD/USB access failed
Please check the path where you installed mplayer
sd:/apps/mplayer_ce
sd:/mplayer
usb:/apps/mplayer_ce
usb:/mplayer
I installed mplayer in usb:/apps/mplayer_ce and am using USBLoaderCFG. When using the installed folder on SD card, it starts normally. Just not from USB.. Any ideas why?

SD:/apps/mplayer_ce/boot.dol
SD:/mplayer_ce/boot.dol
USB:/apps/mplayer_ce/boot.dol

very nice cover but one suggestion, you need to change the layout to NTSC as that covers using the PAL layout

@spayrosam: Tried the one from page 16, page 1, and the CMP one. None seem to boot from USB.

installed folder on USB is the same as on SD, yet USB won't load, while SD does.
Could this be a mount/remount problem for mplayer?
Or could it be that i'm using the latest 223-mload/CFGLoader to load all USB things from FAT32 instead of WBFS?

Again, FTPii and HBC ISO's work fine. It's only Mplayer that fails. Seems to find the boot.dol, but can't access USB after that??

EDIT: Tried every possible directory: USB/apps/mplayer_ce, USB/mplayer, USB/mplayer_ce, USB/apps/mplayer. Keep getting the same error message: SD/USB access failed.

EDIT2: Clarification: The ISO DOES boot. I'm seeing the splash screen and all that. After that, I get the usual "Loading mplayer ce v0.75" message as in loading from SD. Just after that, i get the error message SD/USB access failed.

I'm not sure, but shouldn't mplayer itself load the same IOS as it does when started from SD?
I have IOS202 installed. If i boot the forwarder with SD card in the slot, mplayer works, if i take out the SD card, it doesn't.

pepxl: not sure what you mean? I made the covers 160x224 flat, 176x248 3d, 512x340 full, and 160x160 disc. If those are the PAL sizes then I'm sorry. What are the NTSC sizes. These are the sizes I have been using for my NTSC Wii for all covers for all loaders. If these are wrong PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

@mgrimmenator : I'll update the ISO Internet Channel

@Covers Makers : Please make PAL and NTSC both !!

pepxl: I see what you mean now. I only have the PAL overlay for the full cover with transparency. I will look for the NTSC one. Hopefully a psd file as well.

You got something you'd like to see used instead? I'm trying to use the Opera logo for the program. If you see another image for the Internet Channel already I'd like to know.
