Homebrew Homebrew error 199-9999

Hello, I'm new user of Wii U and before created this thread I try to search answer on this portal and some other but without luck

I buy used Wii U and previous owner say it's softmode console and I can download games from internet and put it on USB to play.
On console there is 2 installed games and this games work without any problem (Super Mario 3D World and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash).
To play this games I just start game without to do anything else. Also on dashboard I have "The Homebew Launcher".



When I try to start HBL I get error 199-9999 and I must turnoff console by pressing power few seconds.



If I understand If I want to install game I need to:
1. with helper download game for my region (eur) [helper will download title.key and put install on sdcard]
2. start home brew and load wup installer but can't do this because HB not start and give me error 199-9999

I'm confused if I can run already installed 2 games without to run any exploit is my console already hacked/softmod?
Is safe to download and put Mocha CFW on SDCard than use browser exploit because I don't know is there any exploit on this console ?

My console version is 5.5.3 E / 8GB

you need to run a CFW before launching HBL channel as it is fakesigned and requires sig patches to run.

Do you have a haxchi icon or is there one somewhere that says do not touch?

No, don't have, I only have HBL icon.

sounds like they used browserhax to get sig patches, then installed the games.
The games will load fine without sig patches as long as there is no fake DLC, If there is fake DLC then you need to run sig patches before launching that title.
I would run a CFW like Haxchi/Mocha then your HBL channel should launch fine.

please, just check on all pages of home menu that you dont have a "do not touch icon" as this would mean system is already softmodded and can be easily fixed

Which one CFW safer Haxchi or Mocha ?

whichever one you feel more comfortable with, personally i use Haxchi without Coldboot. either will get you the patches you require

I can't find any tutorial about this, can you please tell me how to use this ?

@steveja82 I prepare SD Card with Mocha and other stuff for install and worked after few attempts to exploit with browser, probably I will make Haxchi without Coldbot because it's faster and more elegant solution. Thank you once again for help.

Goto step 2, install an entry point

You have to run loadiine.ovh and select Mocha or any other custom firmware to run HBL, otherwise it will always give you that error. (All of this assuming you have the required files inside the SD card)
