Hi, I hacked my friend's wii with str2hax and now he wants to play CTGP Revolution, but he only has a USB Drive and with that you can't install CTGP. So I thought I can now install priilloader for safety and online mario kart on his USB Drive, and later with an SD Card adapter install ctgp.

But can you switch the homebrew drive from USB to SD with no problem, by just having an "apps" folder?

Moving the apps folder from USB to SD usually works fine, yes

Some apps have dependent folders elsewhere, for example, configurable usb loader also requires a USB-loader in the root of the device. But most apps have all the required files in the apps folder so as previously stated just copying this should be fine
