hi i have beta 8 just wondering if this was the latest version if not where do i get the latest from just wanna make sure i have the latest version before taking the plunge and updating to 4.0

No its not. Go to http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/ to download the latest version. You should also install cios 36 rev 8,9,or10.
