I currently have NO idea how to program... but I am an endless stream of ideas that could be cool.... or stupid.

Everyone has been wanting a switch internet browser... so, what would it take to make a homebrew internet browser?

It wouldn't need to be fancy... itd just need to do YouTube or Netflix... and it would expand the consoles usefulness...

Well in theory it should be possible to port any browser that is opensource for example Firefox. Depending on if an opensource SDK exists for the functions. If someone want's todo it however is another question.

Maybe there could be an app that would launch the browser that already exists on any web page

I was thinking about that. It has a basic webkit. Just add a URL box and the keyboard....

And to everyone who laughed at the "nothing fancy" I was talking about ascetics. It doesn't have to be visually pleasing....

Making it visually pleasing would probably be the last problem. Webbrowsers, especially ones that support all this fancy HTML5 and encryption/https stuff are very, very complex.
The easiest might be to do something based on the switch open source portions but idk how much that really helps: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/support/oss/

Maybe this will be handled if someone ports over Android (still sure it will happen at some point) but still I'm wondering why.
The Switch already has a browser and with everything that the devs have right now (TZ, kernel, userland) I'm pretty sure there will be ways to launch it easily in the future, even bundled with specific URLs as forwarders (like an icon that directly launches the browser with gbatemp).
