Gaming Home Button

Just recently the Home button my PsP has been playing up on me...

It randomly goes off during games, and sometimes it goes off rapidly and all i see is the Do you want to quit game screen. This makes it impossible to copy or delete anything through USB because each time it goes off it cancels the USB connection.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

You might need to open it up and clean it. It's not a very hard process to open the PSP, but you will have to remove a sticker and void your warranty to get to one of the screws.

it was a used PSP to begin with.

Shouldn't be too hard to open up i hope

it goes off even if you dont touch any button?

do you have a protective case that covers the home button?

I dont have any protective cases and even when i don't press anything it'll go off
