Nothing really anymore.
  • Video games? → Not possible anymore. What is missing in the collection has insane prices
  • DVD/BD? → Nah. Got all I need and anything new… 🤢
  • Useless collectors items from the topic decoration? → No, thanks
  • Overpriced restaurants? → Why!?
  • Traveling? → Not my cup of tea
I rather spend time with the house and the garden. Planning to have a bigger kitchen garden next year (which might result in spending less money if the harvest is convincing).

:) Many good things are free! :)
Running/cycling through nature. Reading old masterpieces devoid of any copyright constraints. If I can concentrate working on my own (way less good) books.
====

To mention anything: I bought a few nice jigsaw puzzles… and recently an old HP workstation for 10€

Project parts. I'm looking forward to this

Video games aside what's something you actually enjoy spending a little extra on? Me for example new drinks and snacks but what about you? Records, pop figures, pc parts?

I enjoy using ideas of armor for engineering; our robots are known for their protective plating to cover exposed wires:

Edit: They look alike! The shoulder design, the torso layout, etc. Never saw those part similarities before. I just tried to protect the wires like how the "expanded universe" had mandalorians use neck armor after jango's defeat.

And that led to this:

They led the team on their own; I just started it up and then let them go at it with a minor grant to get started. World championships soon after for both teams. Fun times!

Even my hobby money is used for more than one purpose and is meant to still be productive; that's why I have a powerful gaming laptop. A 5090 does well for AutoCAD and video games, and is not a thirty thousand dollar rendering-focused computer.

This is a great question and topic, by the way.

It is almost the same for me! I just love getting fair things for a fair price. I am currently really enjoy having some beauty treatment from proffesionals. It seems like a really bad way to spend your money but I just like the feeling of my clean skin

Eh, I was about to make a similar thread, but I'm happy to know there's already this one.

I'd like to say Videogames... but nope.
I spent the past months trying new games in my PC and I just... didn't enjoyed them.
Games I tried were:
- Hollow Knight: Didn't clicked with me. Bored me in less than 30 minutes.
- Silksong: Thought I'd like something newer, but nope, same issue.
- Ori and the Blind Forest: Found it boring.
- Cuphead: Excited me for the first 5 levels, got repetitive and bored me.
- Marvel vs Capcom INFINITE: Fucking sucks.
- Yooka Laylee: Thought I'd like it, but after playing DK64, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooei, Diddy Kong Racing, StarFox Adventures... I thought that "New RAREWARE" would hit the nostalgia but... nope.
- many more, Crysis, Half Life, Far Cry, MK X, Marvel vs Capcom 3, KOF 12,13,14,15...

Did enjoyed though:
- ULTRA Street Fighter IV: Best SF game. Had the 3D version in 3DS.
- Steam World Dig 1/2: Played the heck out of both in my 3DS so they felt right.
- Plants vs Zombies: Finished the game 3 times in less than 1 month lol.
- Cave Story+: It's a classic.
- Shantae Pirate's Curse: Loved it in 3DS, loved it again.

Then I'd like to say Drawing, but much like videogames, it just... bores me too.

I spent more time doing Digital Brushes for Autodesk Sketchbook, optimizing my PC, playing with electricity and learning new Powershell tricks that I think I have a totally different hobby now... doing everything and nothing at once.
Although, with Powershell I think Automatization is my current hobby.

I collect Tubbz Ducks. I have a total of 25 of them at the moment, but I'm slowing down on my collection because I've already gotten all the ones I want, only lacking Creature From The Black Lagoon. When it comes down in price I'll nab it. The only others I want will all be future editions as I already have all the ones I wanted from their current line.

Additionally, I collect t-shirts, rare coins and venereal diseases. I'M KIDDING!!! I don't collect rare coins.

:)

I guess I'd say DVD's/Blu-Ray's and books, but it's all really occasional. With working, studying, and life responsibilities, I tend to have little time to really dive into anything.

Even if I include video games, it's usually an occasional Steam buy or two. (I spent about $8 USD during the Steam Winter Sale 2025, buying only Gimmick! 2 and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. I had my eyes on Resident Evil Revelaitons 2 and ElecHead, but I ultimately held off.)
