Hacking Hinge

I know this topic has seen light before, but I was wondering if Nintendo still repairs DS Lites with broken hinges for FREE. The only topics on this I can find are from 2006. Or could I possibly trade in my broken DS for a new one or something?

By the way: I can't find the receipt for my DSL but I purchased it exactly a year ago.

best bet is to phone/email nintendo.

If you're warranty is still in play, they'll repair pretty much anything.
If not, you'll have to shell out some cash.
