WiiCrazy, do you plan putting this on WiiBrew? Carzy Intro is already there, and this is legal, so surely there should be no problems?

Well there the logic is complex... Usb loaders, wad installers, packers, unpackers... they are all legal but they are getting removed. So there is no point in adding this there...

@Contra : Thanks for the video!

well, those things can all be used for piracy, even if they are legal. I see no way for this to be used for piracy, so I reckon it'd be OK. Oh, BTW, who's NAND loader did you use in this?

so glad to see you back and i love to turn on my wii thanks to you i do miss the video thing from a wile back are we still able to do that???? let me know id like to put a vid frist like i had way back but still thanks for some awesome work

Hi Wiicrazy,

Could you update Wiicrazy POCVideoLauncher to add hidden channels launching support too ?
This new feature is nice and I want to keep my raving rabbids video intro !

Hmm about the video version, the reason I'm not going back and changing it simply because it uses mplayerwii's precompiled video libraries. They are linked against an old libogc release which is incompatible with current releases. (Fat stuff changed)

But I'll investigate the preloader incompatibility and will add this hidden channel launching into it...

if there is a way to redo the video part i would be a happy gummie bear

but at least i can put bad music up so my friends keep asking why does your wii do that lol

Well, if you're not going to post it, mind if I do? I reckon people who use WiiBrew would appreciate it. And the things you mentioned can all be used for piracy, this I dont think can. So while they are legal, they have mainly illegal uses, whereas this has only legal uses. So is it OK if I stick it on the WiiBrew wiki?

Hmm, it seems someone else already added the application into the Crazy Intro page in wiibrew... No problem btw...

Is there anywhere I can download crazy Intro video's from ? (Wii specific)

I saw one a while back, with a bendy dancing Wiimote, but cannot remember where.

Thanks

I must be a total noob, but I cant seem to get this to work. I made my own boot image and press A image, and changed the xml to open those. but still no good. I get a green garbled screen and thats it. I didnt change any parameters or touch anything else in the xml except the names of the boot images to load. Then I tried just the images that came with the program and still no luck. Thanks for your help

Actually you should change the pressimage parameters a bit... default press image in the release is a tileset animation. If you are using a still image for press image you should set the effect parameter of the pressimage to 0...

Ok thanks, I'll give that a shot soon and let you know

EDIT: Still didn't work. I even changed all the picture effects to none and the pressimage to 0 and still the same result. I even tried changing my images to jpgs but no good. Do these images have to be certain sizes or anything? Cuz if not then I'm stuck

Yep there are certain restrictions on images imposed by grrlib & devkitpro's libs
1. Images should have their width and height both divisable by 4... say 640x480 will work but 640*478 won't.. 640/4 = 160, 480/4 = 120... 478/4 = 119.5 ...

2. Pngs should be rgba encoded

3. Some Jpegs with extra headers and such causes problems, you can make small changes to those and save them in irfanview or similar program to make them compatible...

Ya i grabbed these vids and was thinking of tryin out some of these with crazyintro. Im using .3 atm and love custom jpeg and music but think video might be a cool change. Can videos be random?

still no good. I made sure my images were divisable by 4 and both were. Both png and jpeg dont work. I do have a SDHC card. Does this program not like them?

Crazy Intro v0.32 is very cool ...

I added 4 video's (both .wmv and .avi) to the root of my SD card, set it up in Pre Loader and it picks a different video each time I start my Wii... (configured in the .xml file of course)

then, boot's to sysmenu.

Funnest thing I have done to my Wii in a while (I know, I'm simple)
