ROM Hack Hide SoftModding from Nintendo for Repairs

I have had my New 3ds for about 2 years, and during that time I softmodded it by following this guide here:

I am beginning to have problems with my 3ds turning on, and have more or less linked the problem with a damaged ribbon cable. No big deal, I can send it to Nintendo and get it fixed.
The thing is that it would probably be best if Nintendo didn't know it was modded. So, what should I do to prevent that from happening?
I already plan to remove the SD card, but is there anything else I should do?
Note: I can still sometimes use my 3ds, so if I need to do use it to hide my trail.

Do it yourself. simple just buy a new ribbon cable.
