hi...

i just registered as a member and was very happy to be accepted. i've been an nds user from quite a while and never have imagined the vast uses of my nds, up until now. actually, my 7 year old son owns the nds and i just use it from time to time. he often asks me to download games from the internet and then i stumble upon this site. it quite informative but my brain gets cramps with the terms and so many instruction. can somebody address me to a beginner thread where i get the basics of all information regarding emulators and stuff? what is an emulator anyway and what's that for? we bought are nds already craked and with games so i can relate much...

An emulator duplicates (emulates) the functions of one system using a second system, so that the second system behaves like the first system.

e.g. play a DS rom on a computer.

Be careful with emulators, because none for the DS emulate easily-dumpable systems. You would probably have to get them off the net, but that would be illegal and against GBAtemp rules. Oh, and welcome!
