Well I just got an r4 and I found a forum for R4's, turns out the forum was completely dead since about March. Anyways, that forum linked here a lot so I just signed up here o_o. Pretty active forums

I had no knowledge that there were other cards until after I bought it :\. I just got what my friends had. Also, will an i card like Acecard 2i work on a DS lite? Or is it just for DSi.

ALL cards in existence will work on the DS lite. The R4 is bad because it's creator team has disbanded, there are no updates fo new games, and 99.99999999999% of the ones currently sold are fake clones.

Why? If you want to find out whether yours is a fake post pictures here. If you want to get a real one, don't even bother. Get one of the actively supported carts, I recommend the Acekard 2i.

Why? If you want to find out whether yours is a fake post pictures here. If you want to get a real one, don't even bother. Get one of the actively supported carts, I recommend the Acekard 2i.

Well, I'm impressed. You managed to find a real R4. But the truth is, you're going to have a real hard time playing new games on it. The R4 team has disbanded like I said before, and you'll save yourself many woes by getting an Acekard.

Ah well, I'm still happy with my old rusty R4. Using it since years.

Sure, this year I had to wait for patches for one or two roms and installed YSMenu. But it's still doing it's job alright.

Sure.. when I had to buy another flashcard today, it would be a newer card..
