Hi, I'm having a problem with the Hermes installer v4 hanging.

On the first screen, I choose cios 249 - which is version 15 - as the CIOS to install under.
On the next screen I choose 222 as a target ios.
On the next screen, any choice I make for base IOS - 38, 38 merged with 37, or 38 merged with 60 causes the installer to hang.

Any ideas? I searched and didn't find much.

You shouldn't use hermes to install cIOS, use Waninkoko's installer instead. It's more consistent and works

Actually you should use both. Hermes supports a lot of games that Waninkoko's don't. Right now I'm using Hermes cIOS 222 rev4 and Waninkoko's cIOS 249 rev16. It runs every game on my external hard drive, including some that won't work with Waninkoko's (like FFCC: The Crystal Bearers).

Anyway, it sounds like you're not connected to the internet on your Wii. Make sure it's connected or use WAD installation (which is the manual version and is a little trickier, but doesn't require an internet connection).

My internet connection should be working, but I'll look for a wad install, as opposed to dol.

I'm looking to go to Hermes for booting an ISO off of a FAT/NTFS partition.

Thanks for the help. Are we allowed to ask for a link to a wad install? Disregard, If it is.

the wad install is actually just dumping the required ios from the nus which is found on wiibrew
