Hacking Help! "Write Error"

I just downloaded the new firmware for Supercard SD 1.7v
I put the bin file onto sd, and i try to upgrade the supercard sd
however, when its upgrading, at around 233k/450, it says WRITE ERROR
I tried to format sd card, and then try again, but doesn't work
the menu is now purple and the text is all garbled
is there a way to fix it?
i tried that L+R test and it says everything is okay... and version is still 1.63v...

Did you try to perform the upgrade while in DS mode or GBA mode? Try taking your passme device out and try again from GBA mode.

i fixed the problem, i just replaced the 1.63v firmware with a new 1.63v firmware (i still got a write error, but menu returned)
It seemed that whenever i update, it stops at 239k/480...
so i think i'll leave it at 1.63v for the moment
