Hacking Help with wii brick

Hi,

i ran into the 003 error

...i was foolish to update my korean wii ( which was already softmodded but no infetus and changed to region usa). i updated from 3.2U to 4.2U.

what i have is

1)BootMii
2)Nand backup
3)home brew channel

what i dont have is priiloader..

i had found this guide ''http://gbatemp.net/t207572-guide-how-to-fix-korean-4-2-error-003-unauthorized-device-ha'' but my problem that i have ssbb NTSC no Pal and no Korean game because the guide says i need to have a game of my own region .. can i use nand to restore my wii ?

there may be other methods, but foez is definitely an option

I rather prefer manaul repairs and also i had forgot to change my location when signing up im in asia ..sorry

can't i download the ssbb -pal game from some where on the internet and also a korean region game..

im also not sure if my wii has a modchip i bought it from china so there is a possibilty that it does have one..how to i check

I fail to see what the problem is.

Can't you just stick your SD card in ... boot to bootmii and then Restore your BACKUP NAND?

You have a Korean wii, the wiis region is NTSC-U.
You need a NTSC-U game that will swap to another game + a modchip + SSBB-PAL. You need iso on your pc of both the swap game and SSBB-PAL. You can get it on your pc any way you like, just don't tell me about it. Your iso must be 1:1 rips, dvd5 for the swap and dvd9 for the SSBB-PAL.

Game that have been tested-
Mario Kart- via Mario Kart-PWNS

DiscSwap-PWNS with
Castlevania
Dora Crystal Kingdom
Boom Blocks Bash Party
Carnival Games

There are probably many many other games that work with swap, and there are also many many games that do not. The fix is pretty easy once you get the required materials. Just follow my guide, it should get you where you need to be, with a working wii.

There is no Korean wii with boot2 bootmii, only ios.

@OP if you have a modchip, you can boot most NTSC-u games that are patched to autoboot via savemiifrii. If that does not work, but you think you may have a modchip, you probably have cioscorp installed. If cioscorp is installed you can swap disc to a recovery disc and fix without SSBB-PAL. You only need a swap game.

So he boots to Error 003...

No pre-loader because that goes by by as soon as 4.2 is installed...

No bootmii boot2

Gianpune , Mauifrog, or Deadlyfoez are your only hope.

ok so i i am download the ssbb pal iso from ''~snip~'' is that ok... i already have a mario cart ntsc disk ..now how do i check if i have an modchip installed.

I think i do have a CIOSCORP (because i remember disk booting directly from disk cannel) installed but where can i get a recovery disk..

At the bottom of my 003 guide, there is another method for users with cioscorp that does not require SSBB-PAL. You basically DiscSwap-PWNS to a recovery disc instead of SSBB-PAL.
