Hacking Help with USB Loader and a dead Wii drive

My brother's Wii laser has died so I set him up running USB loader. Is there any way to get the ISOs onto the USB hard drive without using the Wii? I know there is the one wbfs GUI with DVD to wbfs support but I cant get that to work, do you need to have one of those LG drives?

yes, you need an lg drive if you want to copy original wii games to your usb drive.

game backups should work with every drive.
