so I just installed arm9 with a couple cias of games I own. Smash 4 being one of them, is there a way (that's easy) that I can extract the save from my retail copy of smash and put it in the digital copy of it?

Ironically the best way I've found for doing this is Nintendo's own Save Data Transfer tool, available free on the eShop.

It even works for games that are supposed to be retail only, it will transfer anything as long as the title ID of the cartridge matches an installed game.

Edit: Doing it this way also handles creating a save file for the digital game, negating the need to launch it once.

Open FBI, section Title. Browse to your game. Open "browse save" and copy it. Now move back and look for your digital title. Open save and past it. It will work.

If you get error when opening digital save, run digital game once and create save slot to allocate space
