Hi!

Try this in the specific order:
Turn the Switch off (hold power for 12 seconds if the switch is on)

Do NOT connect any usb cable to it.

Put the jig in the right holder for the joycon.

Hold the jig in place (sometimes it just moves a millimeter and looses connection) and at the same time press first vol+ and immediatly after press power on and hold both buttons for 3 seconds.

If the screen stays black, it’s in RCM.

Happy hunting!

I bought a second joycon and bent the 9th pin to the 10th, now auto RCM exists I only use it when I restore a NAND and need to get back into RCM again

And lol don't buy another switch, even buy a TX jig they seem to be more reliable, or at least one that isn't $2 and poorly made

I had problems with jig and with paperclip. watched a YouTube video about tin foil, and made it work on first attempt. later i bought sxos with jig, but have never used the jig, I put my switch in autorcm. I hear horror stories about bricked switches after tinfoil hack. So this might not be the thing for you. I would bye a sxos jig. Much more inexpensive than buying a new switch at least
