Help with my mic

I do let's plays, I bought a Plantronics mic a while back. At first, it sounded like this :

Why so much static?
 
You have a nice voice.

It sounds like the mic volume is being synthetically boosted. Right-click the volume icon in the bottom-right of your computer and go to the "recording devices" option, go to the properties for your mic, and in the "levels" tab try turning down "microphone boost" if it's there, as that appears to be a synthetic boost which would also make background noise more apparent.

God, just looked at my DxTory mic levels. It's at 100%. Also had +30.db in Windows.... yeah... I found the problem, thanks!

Also, not many people like my voice, cuz pre-pubescent :P
