Homebrew Help with installing WADS on Wii

I am currently trying to download wiiware games to my console via SD card. I've read many things explaining the instructions, but I'm still confused on some parts.
1. Is installing a wiiware WAD different from installing a vc WAD? I have been able to download vc wads, but I just want to make sure.
2. What would Priiloader do? I need more details.

go ask a mod they will gracefully delete it

1 vc and wiiware are the same they are just that
2 priiloader is a anti brick feature so if a homebrew goes wrong and brick your wii you canfix it with priiloader
also there are many sys menu hack you cn try out to modify system menu using prii

Ah, so Priiloader really is all I thought it was. I've been installing vc without it for a year now. I don't think that anything is going to go wrong, but just in case I'll get priiloader anyways. Thanks!
