Hey guys!

Been playing with Gameboy Interface on my Gamecube and have been having a lot of fun with switching the different settings around. I'm having a bit of an interesting issue trying to nail down some settings that someone here may be able to help with.

I enjoy the standard edition due to the number of options I have to switch things on the fly (I travel a fair bit and have different experiences on different TVs, so the flexibility is great). However on my home TV I've noticed I get a little bit of ghosting (in particular I notice it with the trees when running in Pokemon Sapphire) that makes me a little sick on such a large screen. When running the Hi Fidelity or Speed Running modes I find that this ghosting goes away, however I'd like to gain access to some of the options that are only available on the Standard version (primarily the Zoom option), so I'd like to nail down what setting may be used in the other modes that I can change on the standard mode. I can't seem to nail down which setting it is as I've been experimenting.

I think it may have something to do with the standard version itself (as it mentions in the FAQ that "motion blur" can be a problem for some and can't be turned off). If this is the case, is there any way to force zoom on other modes? Those settings aren't listed as changeable under each of their wiki pages.

Thanks for reading!

This could be fun.
Assuming you don't want to junk your screen in favour of one that works then you have two main options.

1) I don't know how close you will get with options here (the way the speedrun and low latency stuff works means they take out the nice options to fiddle with graphics beyond what is truly necessary). You might however be able to take the source code and make something with the speedrun versions to add something back in, or maybe take it out of the baseline one.
2) You come the other way and consider one of the nice video twiddling devices used by people aiming to play old games on new TVs (see things like the https://www.retrorgb.com/upscalers.html ). More cost but should do something with the speedrun stuff to still pump resolution.
2a) I have not been keeping up to date with the gamecube digital video adapters world either but they might have something too, and arguably such a thing combined with the gb player would be the best means of playing a GBA in hardware, at least pending word on some of the FPGA simulation stuff.
