Hacking Help with Gateway, saves and data transfer.

So, hello. I currently have a 3DS XL and I'm going to sell it in order to buy a 3DS XL with Gateway (working, tested and stuff.)
Since the XL+Gateway combo is expensive here, I'm going to sell the 3DS XL with all the digital games I bought, but my only question is:
I bought Zelda ALBW and I have been playing quite a lot, but didn't finish it yet, can I transfer only the Zelda save to the 3DS XL I'm getting? Or is it impossible?

nope a system transfer is all or nothing....but im not too sure saves transfer even some people had no issues others said they lost saves in the process

best bet would be to go look in the shared saves thread for a save with similar progress to continue from

I wouldn't be doing a system transfer since I want to sell my console with all the stuff, isn't there like, a specific file with the save from the Zelda game?

Oh, sorry, I didn't see the "only" part. I have a tendency to glaze over the most important parts of posts/books/whatnot. Yeah, gamesquest is right. You might have luck with the cyber saves or whatever it's called, but you'd have to either buy it or borrow it.

If you go the shared save route, you're probably gonna have a hard time finding a save that isn't ahead of your progress or far behind.

Honestly, I have no idea. But I'm guessing it's like Action Replay. It seems rather expensive, from looking at Amazon, so it's not ideal, unless you know someone who has one (which is doubtful), and it may not even work for non-Japanese consoles.

where about are you upto there is actually a few albw saves in the thread up to various points.....it all just depends on if you wanna stick it out on your save and complete it

I got to the second painting in the other world, I would say... Those saves are from Gateway?

Yeah, you'd need a Gateway to use it, but that won't work since you won't get the Gateway until you get the new 3DS, and that wouldn't work unless your current console is 4.5 or below.

I just got a Gateway today and backed up my first game, Fantasy Life. I was hoping the save file would come across too, but it didn't. Is there no way to get my retail save into the version on my Gateway?
There's no way I'm starting this again

As of right now, no, but Gateway has hinted at new save features for the next firmware update, so it may be possible soon™.

Damn, that's a shame. I'm 30 hours in to Fantasay, which isn't massive for this game, but I'm not doing it all again

did you ever find a way to get your save to work, or maybe find a save with the story done, the save can be injected into a rom like pokemon xy, seeing as they both use similar save methods

Pokemon X/Y are Card 2 games, so I'm guessing that's why it's possible to inject saves.

I've used an NDS adapter plus to dump 3ds game saves loads of times

edit: oops, you have ALBW as a digital download. never mind.
