Gaming help with ds transfer

is it possible to keep your stuff on your ds and still copy it onto a 3ds. because i copyed my bros stuff to my dsi and i backed them up on the sd card and it wont let me copy them back. but i wanna know if there is a way to keep them before copy from my other bro's dsi

If you transfer DSiWare to a 3DS you can't get it back on the DSi without rebuying it....transfer from the SD card doesn't work after you've transferred the DSiWare + permissions to the 3DS.
