HELP? Super Famicom not booting games

Hey tempers, i've got a super famicom that i bought in japan.
when i got it it booted the games that i also got fine.
the console was in storage for a few years and i have pulled it out.
now it doesn't boot any games. except for mario kart where i boots to the logo and seems to play a bunch of random sounds from the game.

Hey there,
My SFC went through the same scenario, only I was using it fairly frequently.

I could get the Nintendo logo on super metroid, but no game.
It might have had something to do with running an sd2snes on it as well, which draws a heap more current, putting strain on degrading parts.

A mate of mine, who mods consoles, had a look and found it had a dodgy CPU or ppu. Not much can be done with that except a board swap.

You could try a couple of different power supplies first.
