Hardware Help!!! Serious ps3 problem

Hello everyone.The last 3 or 4 days when im playing gta v sometimes graphics glitch happens and the console freezes.so i must close the ps3 and open it again.it's summer in here and it's really hot so i 've put in webman the following:start fan at 49 deggres with 31% power???what can i do???My ps3 is a slim one with rebug 4.81.1 CEX 2504b.also when i open it after the glitch
,it does the same thing for 2 or 3 times and then doesn't.do you think it's the hdd or the thermal paste has dried out????or there is a lot of dust in there???plz help.i don't have a pound

Replace thermal paste on processor. I did it and it was much colder and quieter.

I can't be quiet sure, but it might be because of overheating.

Move somewhere colder.

you need thermal paste and pads. the torx10 security can be taken out with a regular small flathead. its an easy fix

GPU overheating if anything. Like others have said just replace the thermal paste with Artic Sliver 5. The one Sony uses is trash.

I can still save it right???because the ps3 is nearly used...i guess the thermal paste has been burnt...just replace the thermal on the gpu and save it????

thats good enough, but dont skip out on the pads

Because i don't have much money now,can i use only thermal paste and buy in a month or two the thermal pads???will it work???

Done mateee.I have some more questions.first,why the thermal compound needs replace because i haven't used the ps3 for 3 weeks total.second,do you think that something broke inside???because my ps3 has fall in the carpet two or three times because i have it in vertical position(it's hasn't fallen from a desk, it was on the floor in vertical position and just fell down)

the paste is needed because the system is old, the old paste is probably dried up and not geting rid of the heat. i doubt the cpu gpu are broken

both cpu+gpu need paste and a reball is rare. if a reball is needed its easier to buy a spare cpu or gpu online (about $40 for each one)
