Edit: Solved. Took 2 days, but I figured it out! Now just need to get the .bms script to extract the entire .bin folder not just half. And how to edit the script to my new line's needs.

-------------------------------------------------

I'm nearly about to tear my hair out spending all dang day trying to test to see if some dub lines will show up in the actual game. Long story short they're mute. I'm giving Amuro voice gallery lines as a test. Wanted to see if I could a few characters for fun and discovered my routine would be to record footage in game to get the lines clean, run it through Sononym that analyzes all 14000 lines from the extracted .bin folder from the game.

But all day I have spent trying to repack the 2 stupid test lines to no end. Its the being forced to convert them to 44100 hz ATRAC3 that's killing me. I can already tell the lines will have issues if the size of my new lines are larger than the old. I have literally made sure they are same length or shorter than OG line, reduced bitrate to as little as 12k, tried OGG, MP3, FLAC, prior to converting to AT3... tried repacking without them being AT3... nothing. Nothing is working.

Side concern is that script someone put online to even extract the .bin doesnt even do it all. Just does like half the amount (6000/14000) but thats a concern for later cause if anyone I wanna work on is amidst those unextracted last half chunk im gonna need help fixing the .bms or .txt script whatever that quickbms needs to open the .bin.

It seems that you haven't reverse engineered the file format enough to pack it back up.
I did though. This was the order ready? Extract the bin from game. Use the script someone made online which worked (only halfway via 6000/14000 lines) that spat out .dat files aka .wavs apparently? I replaced the .wavs with my 2 samples by converting them to at3's and either repacking them with quickbms reimport by either leaving them as at3s or recalling them dats. I tried both. Supposely cmd said they were reimported successfully both times. And finally use UMDGEN 4 to reinsert the new .bin into the iso. Try in game. Those new lines? Now muted or do this sort of quick .001 second blurp type noise.

I think the problem lies with shrinking the new lines to fit below the original lines length. I need advice in which to achieve that.
