ROM Hack Help plz bought r4 3ds rts. Wont work

Please someone help. I boughta r4 3ds rts from someone over craigslist and also a 2ds with newest version 11.9. ive put on it so many kernals and nothing seems to work. Please someone tell me how to make this work

You should be more specific. Where did you get the kernel from? Are you trying to play DS or 3DS games?

ive tried as bunch of kernals from wood 1.64 to r4i 3ds v1.85b and nothing works. i just want it to work. i dont care using whichever kernal.

this kernal doesnt work either. im just putting _rpg _ folder and DS_MENU dat file on root of sd card. am i doing it right?

Now u finnaly stated the problem then now u need to update the bootloader of the flashcart on a console that can boot it

that card was probably flashed with ntr boot to install cfw on your 3ds. you need to reflash original rom to make it work again.

get info on how to get the roms on this page towards the bottom.

Also I hope you're trying to play ds games on it because that's what it's for.
