Hacking help neeeded with usb saves :(

recently i have copied my games to a larger external harddrive problem is it keeps didconnecting itself from the wii when it tries to load anything i have tried to back up my saves with saviine but that isnt working because it fails to stay connected long enogh for the transfer ?also the same with copying to system memory ? i was woundering if there is any other options to backup my save data to my pc ?

Use a Y cable.

it doesnt connect to my hdd its a samsung m3 ,i think its an internal problem with it

problem is it doesnt actally poweroff as far as i can tell the light is still on??

The light gets enough power, but the HDD itself doesn't.

IDK. But please try using a Y cable, I'm almost sure that'd work.

Came in the mail today and...... Managed to copy over two games without it dieing I think it may be working have to rush to work now many thanks @SomeGamer

Glad it works! Have fun! (BTW fun fact: the original Wii did provide enough power through one port, kind of ironic the Wii U doesn't.)
