help, my pc is failing

i have this pc that was my dads almost 13 years ago. i found it and opened it up and fixed EVERYTHING. it worked but the hard drive had a courrupted kernel. i found a windows xp installation disk and thought that i could downgrade it and as i tuened on the pc to insert the disk, it didnt work. what can i do to fix it?

It's absolutely normal for a 13 years old PC to start failing. Don't worry about it. If you don't want to bring it to a recycling facility, you could always try a lightweight Linux distro on it, instead of obsolete Windows XP. Thanks for the screenshot, it was really helpful to see what the problem was. :P

You're going to have to be a lot more precise than "it didn't work" if you ever expect to get any kind of help from anyone. As noted, that screenshot is definitely not helpful.

I mean, clearly if you fixed EVERYTHING, then nothing is broken and everything is working, amirite?
