EaseUS partition manger can do it, without messing anything up.

Backup sd card with win32imager
Flash backup to new card
Extend partition into the unallocated space.

Works fine, no need to do anything. That's how I moved mine from a 4GB card to an 8GB one.

I can confirm this. I even used the same program and it worked perfectly as he has typed it... but yeah make sure it's the unallocated space after the FAT32 partition and not before!

you can use a linux live cd/boot image of your choice (knoppix, ubuntu, whatever) and give parted (shell version) or gparted (gui verion) a try.

there also exists a small linux boot image especially crafted to run gparted, i just don't know if it offers sd support: http://gparted.org/livecd.php

edit: this is assuming you have one of the newer, x86 compatible macs. if you are still stuck on a powerpc you'll need a linux live image (or install image) for that architecture.

I love EaseUS partition manager, I use it to extend partitions every time I clone a smaller hard drive to a larger hard drive as clonezilla's built-in one does not work right.
I have yet to have it fail me, and i have done dozens of hard drive upgrades this way.
It is good to know I can rely on it to do the same with SD cards containing an EMUnand on it without it screwing it up.

Is there no program that allows you to retrieve an image from a partition, instead of the whole SD card? If there is you can get the image of the 1GB partition, rename it to NAND.BIN, and place it in the new SD card and let Gateway do the formatting for you.

the problem is that the EmuNAND is not in a partition, it's unallocated spaces.
There is only one defined partition (the FAT32) which starts at sector 0x200000.

You would need a program which makes an image based on the number of sector to dump the unallocated space only.
On Linux, you can use dd command.

I can confirm this works. Just did a 4GB --> 16GB SD transfer and it works flawlessly.

The gateway format function does not use the NAND.bin on the SD for creating the emuNAND. It gets the data directly from the system NAND.

also the emunand partition isnt actually adirect nand dump like nand.bin...it modified moving the first few sectors to the end or something...... you "might" be able prepare the new SD card then copy the first 1 GB of the old card over....but i'm pretty sure the partition table is stored within that first GB as well as the emunand so you might end up having the exact same issue's......just follow the steps pointed out here and its all good, no need to go over complicating matters XD
