I am trying to mod my Wii-U's vWii mode but am having difficulty.

I purchased this SD card and a cheap copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii with the intention of using the Smash Stack mod.

I formatted the SD card to FAT32, and then I moved the private folder fro the Smash Stack archive and the boot.elf file from the HackMii installer to the root of the card (no other files exist on the card)

I loaded up SSBB and went to the stage creater and the script did start and I was able to install the Homebrew channel, but when the system restarted the Homebrew Channel is loaded but there are no apps to be found it is just literally the Homebrew Channel background. I have tried waiting a while to see if something would load but after 30 minutes I am guessing that is not going to happen.

Have a done something wrong?

You need to add homebrew to app folder of sd card... homebrew Channel is just homebrew channel.

damn, it has been to long since I last done this. Thanks EclipseSin for pointing out my oversight. Also is USBLoaderGX working well with vWii?

Place apps in a folder called "apps" on the root of your sd card. As a general rule, everything that works on Wii also works on vWii. The main exceptions are hardware-related (e.g. no gamecube slots) and IOS-related. Backup loaders and homebrew games/apps will work just fine regardless of whether its a Wii or vWii.

Another exception is this: Only wads made specifically for Wii U (including channels) can be used on the vWii. Trying to cross platform stuff that actually installs to the system can brick.
