Help me write the Statement Of Purpose for my university application

So I'll get right to it. I'm a Computer Engineering hopeful, trying my luck at many good universities here and there. It so happens that I have little idea how to tackle my SOP ("statement of purpose") letter. Although I have read many helpful websites. I need a final push. If you can, please post your SOP and help a fellow temper? Any valuable input/experience is appreciated.

Well...you know, Indian parents... *sigh*

I do have access to the necessary resources so it doesn't really matter. Competition is tough in India, its natural for every serious candidate to give up on distractions :3
