Hacking Help Installing Wood R4

Well i searched through almost every site and topic but couldnt find enough information because im still not able to Run the Wood Firmware.
All howto's and whatever tell me to copy the stuff onto my micro sd card, well ...
I have a R4 SDHC (Revolution for DS) and im having the Wood R4 for Clones on my desktop,
I format my Micro SD and copy the __rpg folder along with the wood for clones.nds over to the root of my micro sd card.

But guess what, it just gives me the Loading screen from the R4.
Since there is no firmware of the r4 on it its stuck on the loading screen.
I also tried some other wood versions for r4 clones (ones with nds files AND ones with dat's) but neither of them worked.
So could someone lend me some help?

Which R4 clone are you using, are you sure it's the very original R4 SDHC clone? As far as I know it isn't fully functional on pretty much all of them.

Well, all i can say is that its a R4 SDHC, the box has the r4sdhc.com url on it.
I managed to get YSMenue to work, quite some ppl told me it wouldnt work on my Clone, so ya ...

Just checked the site, it's hard to tell if that's the right version or not. If none of the versions from the thread are working though I'm guessing it's not. Your best bet is probably to just hold tight until someone releases a fully working version.

looking from the picture, it seems that you didnt put the official firmware on it
you have to load the official firmware and then load the ''Wood For Clones.nds'' file from the menu to get it working

But how do i set it up as the "main" Firmware?
You know, turnin the DS on and its booting Wood instead of the R4 Firmware.

You'll have to rename the .nds file to _DS_MENU.DAT, run it through R4crypt and then copy it onto the MicroSD card.

Just gives me the loading screen of the R4.

Then it's definitely not a clone that WoodR4 will work on. If you still want to try it then try renaming the .nds file to _DS_MENU.DAT and copying it straight on without encrypting it.

Well I grabbed the firmware from the site to see if it gave me any clue but all I can really tell you is the official firmware is a hacked YSMenu. Looking at the DSTT forum though it has a couple of mentions of there being an R4 SDHC clone that's a DSTT clone so it could be that one.

How can there be multiple R4 SDHC clones/fakes anyway ...
Hope that there will be some updates on the Wood Firmware for fake R4's :/
