Hi@all.

Tomorrow my new 3ds xl arrives and also the OoT3D to get into Homebrew Launcher for better support then soundhax.

I searched for a guide how to install OoT3Dhax to the card and i got many different aswers so i hope you can help me.

I own a secound n3DS XL with a9lh and Luma3DS on Sysnand 11.2
In the newest starter pack of homebrew launcher there is a homebrew to install OoT3Dhax.

The question is: Can i use that to install the hax data also if i'm on 11.2?
If yes do i need to download other files or is it enough to just run the installer in Homebrew Launcher?

In some Guides i read that it's only possible to install the hax with a Powersave dongle.

So now what's true? Can i install it with my already modded 3ds xl to the cartridge or is the only way a Powersave Dongle?

Thanks in advice to all who can help me with that :)

you can install the hack using your second 3ds no problem. I did it just fine last week and now I am waiting for my n3ds XL to arrive.

Ok great:) And the installer is all need to set the card up?

Looking forward to get the Game and my n3DS XL Solgaleo and Lunala Edition tomorrow :)

With soundhax, you can actually downgrade and install a9lh now, and i believe you can also downgrade with oothax. I think https://3ds.guide/ should help.
I know that and also know the guide, have used it many times. But for users Soundhax only works after many tries and with oot3dhax will work better/faster.

It turns out that the issue was that safehax requires a cartridge in the cartridge slot. When they were using soundhax, they didn't have a cartridge in the slot. Then they inserted OoT3D to use OoT3Dhax and magically it worked.

Soundhax will work fine, just have a cartridge inserted.

Ah ok good to know. But i thinks is not bad to have another entry Point on hand :)

Just 1 little question: To run OoT3dhax i only need the starter pack of HBL and the otherapp.bin for 11.2 right?

You need boot.3dsx on the root of the SD card and the correct payload of OoT3Dhax installed for that console. OoT3Dhax doesn't read its payload from the SD card.

ok thanks for your help than i think all will word well :) The installer does ask for the version on 3ds so i think it will download the correct payload itself, right?

Ok install of the exploit worked great with my other device so powersafe is definitely not needed!

I had to select the saveslot and the the system Version. After that he loaded the right payload and installed the hack.

The Homebrew Launcher then starts without any problems and very fast, in my feeling faster than menu or browserhax.

So i think because you can choose the Save Slot you dont have to errase your own safegame if you already have one but didn't test that.

Then now i be ready to bring a9lh to the solgaleo and lunala limited Edition :)
