Hacking Help in identifying flashcart.

Hi, can anyone tell me what kind of flashcart this is.

Read the site printed on the label. That will usually tell you what you need to know. The image is too blurry to read the text, but it looks like the bottom one doesn't have a website printed on it, which makes it a bit tricky to identify. The top one however does.

hey thanks for the reply, this is my first time buying flashcarts and that's the seller image for it. well i wanna be sure before buying anything, Thanks for the heads up!

another question if you don't mind. The seller says that once he booted up the r4 3ds one it says the firmware is outdated. Can someone explain it?

I believe that is one of the carts that have an expiration date set in the kernel so the team has to release a new update once a year otherwise the cart will stop working.
Neither of those carts are likely to be any good, if you're just buying a flashcart I would recommend you get the r4ids.cn R4i Gold instead.
You can get it very cheap here: http://www.eachmall.com/goods-5651-5651.html or from a number of other sites although the price will be higher.

i wanna play in that ds lite with r4, i mssed alot of games during ds timeline. So, basically i just wanna play ds games

The cards will work... but finding the right firmware for them may be difficult and if there isn't a newer one available that stops the firmware expired error from happening you have to set the time on the DS back to make it work. Since you haven't bought them yet it would be better to just go with a known good card that is still supported by the team so you know you won't have any compatibility issues with certain games etc.

alright, thank you for this and to be honest it was a let down. I really want to play ds games but there seems to be no r4 carts in the Philippines.

By the way, you can change your date back so the R4 will think the expiration hasn't passed.

If it's the only way you can get a DS flashcart then go for it. There's a page here that has the firmware for many different (dead) flashcarts: http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/
But can't you just order from a site that ships internationally?

the r4gold 3ds is from r4igold.eu is that a good r4 card?
