Hacking (Help) How to Update ?

First of all thank you for taking your time to help me.

I was out of the 3DS scene for 4-5 months and I am on 10.7 ARM9Haxx Luma v5.5
Is it safe to update to latest v11 of 3DS FW ?
Do I need to take any additional steps/precaution ?

I can update Luma to 6.6(Latest) without any problems right, just replace the luma files


Anything I need to be wary of?

I really want access eshop and online

Just update Luma first and then update the 3DS. Just in case make a NAND backup with Decrypt9WIP, but you shouldn't have any problem

If you're using A9LH SysNAND with the latest version of Luma (update to this first), then you can update from System Settings (as normal) with no issue.

Edit: Ninj'd. Also yeah, it's always good to make NAND backups before updating.

It's much easier than you think. I suppose you haven't installed the Luma Updater though, which you should do.

Update Luma through the updater app, reboot, update the system from the system menu. Voila!
