I found this on my storage bin when I was a kid and notice the SD card is missing so I bought a new SD card and found a random kernel online and when I boot it it turns white screen any solutions?

This is an original R4 SDHC, not a clone.
It is not. And even then, those are limited to YSMenu.
This is a somewhat weird Demon variant.

Alright, now that I'm not stuck on an IR based keyboard trying to give me an aneurysm:
The sticker URL for this cart is blatantly wrong, actual R4SDHC PCBs would be green iirc, and the silkscreen markings "R4i SDHC T" as well as the obvious v2.10T sticker on the back clearly identify it as said weird Demon hw variant instead. The whitescreen behaviour also matches, while R4SDHC would give the usual Loading... blackscreen.
P.S. the R4SDHC was a janky (breaks with >4GB cards) clone, not original. Wood also doesn't run on it because it's so absolutely hacked together. In fact they need a special build of YSMenu (which still had a ton of issues as noted on that cart's guide page.).

This is a DSTTi DEMON clone, the R4 SDHC is also a clone of the Original R4. The R4 Team did not officially make SDHC versions.
so what can i do to use my flash cart?

Are we sure about that? I seem to remember people assuming it was a clone but it was never confirmed or denied.
(Why would they put r4ds.com on the label if it isn't compatible with the kernel from r4ds.com. You can't trust anything these days, jeez.)

Well, unfortunately, there are many imitators that use the R4 branding that are not endorsed by the official team, as they had been long gone for years now.

This is the only kernel that is available currently. If the kernel doesn't boot on the first try, try a different SD card or reformat it using the SD Formatter. Or use a different archive extractor like 7-Zip instead. From what I've noticed when it comes to the DEMON kernel, it doesn't like to be extracted using anything else than 7-Zip, resulting in FAT corruption.

That I get, but how are you even supposed to get the cart working if they won't tell you where to get the kernel?

This page is quite useful, it shows the circuit boards inside each cart to make them easy to identify. https://nds.flashcarts.net/card/

Otherwise, you can go on the Wayback Machine and download the kernel from their website, check if any filenames match to any other kernel. Although, this method may not always be as accurate, as some cloners like to mix filenames up a bit for later clones.

Common examples with DSTTi clones is the TSOP flash chip on the front of the cart. If you feel that the label is raised and that there's something under there, then it could be a DSTTi clone.

I'd say if you're unsure whether your flashcart is a DSTT or an original R4, open it up and compare the circuit board to any of the images.

I mean, how did the team expect anyone to get the flashcart to work if they don't tell them where to get the kernel?
Nobody cares what you call your flashcart, but having a website where people can get the kernel is kind of important.

I have no idea why they chose the r4ds.com URL, when it isn't the correct kernel.

In most cases the website on the sticker for clone carts is correct.

These "OpenDS" carts an exception as they are "R4 Renovation V2.10T" carts that have had a new label applied and sold on Aliexpress in a sort of scammy way.

The "OpenDS" labels are not the original labels for these V2.10T cards. I have no idea why they used r4ds.com as the URL except probably because they didn't care.

The label for this cart is *supposed* to be this one:

1734562947807.jpeg

While that website was originally for the OG R4SDHC, sometime in 2011 they started listing the above cart on their site as a new V2 cart, which is of course a DSTTi DEMON clone.

Because they're lazy at doing so, they either link to a different website hosting the wrong kernel, or a temporary URL that hasn't been up in ages. This as a result leads up to confusing threads like this one, where people haven't looked into what hardware it uses or what they need to do, and instead guess that any kernel will work, which leads to plenty of misinformation surrounding them.
I think for these ones the label is just a scam, I am fairly sure that these V2.10T carts were available as some new-old stock to some sellers but without labels, much like the situation with the R4 Gold RTS 3DS and R4DS Pro carts, and the label of the OP's cart is the result.
