ROM Hack [Help] Getting HANS to load an update?

So I made a mod for Animal Crossing New Leaf which replaced some of the music but upon launching it with HANS I found the game isn't loading the Welcome Amiibo update and thus, my save file isn't there.

So my questions are:
Is it possible to get HANS to load the update?

Is there a simpler way of loading romfs patches without HANS?
