Ok, so friend got me a nintendo ds lite and I have no idea how to work it.
It came with this weird add-on thing called Ewin2 (that protrudes from the slot-2 of the ds a little) and displays "Ewin2 burn dreams at will" when I the ds turn on. In this Ewin2 thingy there is a microSD 512MB memory card which came with some games on it which I can currently play.
I became sick of those games and went to download games that end with [.nds] (called NDS ROMs or something) and then saved them into the "Game" section of the microSD. However, when I turn the ds on and locate the game and select it (pressing "A"), it loads normally ("arm9 code...etc etc") but then it comes up with 2 white screens.
WHY?!?!
So then I downloaded Ewintool to "patch" the game or whatever and then save the output of that in the microSD to try and play it on my ds, but STILL 2 white screens.
I've tried googling -believe me- but all these terms like passme, flashcart, homebrew.. it's driving me insane.
Would someone like to kindly help me out?
This is what I have

Thanks in advance! =D

Official Site.

(warning in chinese)

You will need a ewin2 flash cart, a sd card (mini, micro etc...), a sd card reader.

1. First format your sd card to fat16 (just plain fat)

download the software.
http://darkforce.gbatemp.net/ewin2/EWinTools(15.09.06).zip

download the firmware
http://darkforce.gbatemp.net/ewin2/fw_release0930-2.rar

unzip the software onto your computer and unzip the firmware onto the sd card itself.

2. now plug your sd card into the ewin cart and plug it into your ds, and turn it on while Pressing 'L', 'R' and 'Up' simultaneously it will update the firmware on the cart.

3.After updating the firmware, you need to remove the sd card from the cart, and plug into your computer, then Load up the Ewin loader program, and choose a output directory (the output directory is your sd card)

EWinTools also has a variety of skins you can choose from. They are all look very professional and there's everything from iTunes to Vista:

On the left hand side is a autoupdater, even if you version of the loader is outdated you can simply update, click on it first.

now add the roms you wish to your cart and start her up, you can even click and drag roms into your cart though this program.

happy gaming.

Extra Knowledge.

If you press 'R' the menu switches to a more detailed viewing mode and brings up information on each game such as the title, display icon, internal name and game code, and rom size.

Game saves are saved onto SRAM and are automatically backed up to the SD card next time you boot a game.

I found that thread before and I've JUST done EXACTLY what you said, everything went smoothly until I try and load the game on my ds, 2 white screens again!
