Hacking Help - DSTT ntrboot hack

Trying to do the ntrboot hack. Anyways, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Any help is much appreciated.

My setup:
11.6 New3dsXL
DSTT Card

Problem:
Can not get the card to boot.

-I went to the website (directed from the ndstt website v1.18) and put the files on the microSD card.
-Put the file ds_ntrboot_flasher_dsi.nds on the root of the microSD card too.
-Inserted the microSD card into the DSTT
-Nothing happens when I put the card into the N3dsXL

Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed from here or things to try to troubleshoot?

If this helps anyone.

-There is a way for the DSTT to be recognized on a 3ds but from my research it won't work on a n3dsxl doing it on single unit with stock FW.
-Ordered a R4i Gold 3DS Plus off of NDSCard ($20). Will work on N3dsXL stock 11.6 or 11.7 for ntrboot purposes, has a dual boot function (ntrboot mode and ds mode) and no time bomb built into it.

Hopefully this works for me when I receive it in a month or so.
