Hi,
Thank you in advance if you read this!

My N3DS has a damaged screen and Im afraid it could stop working at any moment, so I want to preserve all of my data. I have an old 3DS that is perfectly fine and I would like to transfer my data to that console (I dont want to buy another N3DS because they are very expensive in my country) .

I know this cant be done through official transfer system. The only solution Ive found so far is to contact Nintendo support and request an account transfer directly to them. However, as far as I understand, this method only transfers the NNID and purchased games, but not other data such as StreetPass data, Swapnote data, Mii Maker data, Activity Log records, and other system data.
This data is very important to me because it contains things I did when I was 12yo, there are many precious memories in it, so preserving this data is my top priority.

Is there any way to manually extract the data that Nintendo cannot transfer, decrypt it, and then move it to my old 3DS?
Is there any way to do a complete transfer without going through Nintendo at all?
If theres really no way to transfer data from N3DS to 3DS, is there any way to preserve N3DS data before the hardware fails?

Id appreciate any help.

*Just in case it matters, neither console has been modded.
*Sorry if this has been asked before; I couldnt find a similar question

The first thing to do is to make a NAND backup. You can extract data from that manually if you need to, though it's best avoided. (Do NOT try to restore one unit's full NAND backup onto a different unit.)

The most straightforward solution is to back up the data from each of your apps using Checkpoint, then reinstall the apps on your new unit and restore the data using Checkpoint again. There are other approaches, like transferring the encryption key, but they have potential to cause problems.

To access titles on the NAND like Swapnote, you will need to enable access to NAND titles by editing the Checkpoint configuration, as in https://github.com/bernardogiordano/checkpoint .

Mii Plaza data is particularly tricky. I think you have to manually restore meet.dat separately. There is some information about that in https://gbatemp.net/threads/transfe...e-hacked-3ds-to-another.643277/#post-10859777 .
