So it looks like I only need to update to 19.0.1 then?… What specific version of Atmosphere would you recommend, and will that require an exact lower version of sigpatches?… Another weird thing that I've been constantly reading is SaltyNX brings compatibility issues galore—is there a way to not have it?
Yes, MP4B 1.1.0 works, when SAK-patched, on 19.0.1.
I updated to Atmosphère 1.10 and latest sigpatches, and everything is working fine on HOS 19.
SaltyNX is needed for the FPS display in Sys-Monitor, so I personally don’t want to uninstall it. Not sure what else depends on it. You can add MP4B’s IDs to the exceptions.txt file to disable it just for this and the few other games it breaks.

About the game, are y'all liking the game? I've yet to receive it.

I've been waiting for it since the Wii U days so hopefully it's worth it.

Yeah it's pretty good, I wouldn't say as great as Metroid Prime 1 and maybe not even 2 or 3 but still worth playing. I haven't had much time to play it though only about 4 hours into it.

I'm downloading and getting the files ready for an attempt. So I'm going to AMS 1.10.1 (the newest) and installing FW 19.0.1 with latest sigpatches? Will this work, or are sigpatches for EXACT firmware versions and I just never knew it. (Also, it's looking like you can either use manual sigpatches or Sys-Patch, which means I can just use sigpatches, right?) I only ever update this manually and never connect it to the internet. My only real concern right now is that I'm looking into DBI and there's a weird bit of possible brick code that someone named duckbill may have put into DBI?

duckbill: Congratulations, you fell for the English version of DBI. Now your console has a tag that can only be removed by rolling back from a backup. Get ready for a wide variety of glitches.
What does this mean and is DBI safe anymore?

I think there are an awful lot of different opinions on 4. For me personally, I like it more than the third one, about on par with the first (maybe slightly less), but not nearly as much as the second.

Latest patches will work UP TO latest firmware, so they should work fine on your firmware.

I was using DBI for about 5 years and yeah I knew about his threat used it anyway, but I couldn't install Metroid Prime 4 on 20.5 so instead I used AwooInstaller+ NX-USBLoader and it worked fine. I don't think anyone's Switch got bricked I would have seen them complaining about it he was just running his mouth, but it's up to you.

As far as getting MP4 to work on your firmware though I have no idea, I've seen people say they have some couldn't. I don't know I just updated to 20.5 and it works on that firmware.
