Hellcat is amazing, and he's a nice guy to boot, so this is definitely one to watch...

Seconded. I notice you can be pretty pessimistic about developers when they have no history or nothing REAL to contribute but I guess it is with good reason. I mean... what, 3 other people have been working on downgraders and have not released it yet? Empty promises.

I am sure Hellcat will come through for us though. He always does.

EDIT: Bad news. This is just an update of his Recovery Flasher only for the original models. No v3, 3000, or Go Support.

check out his changelog.

Won't be useful for newer PSPs... Oh well.

...you expected this to work on the new models?

Seem like you don't know how the recovery flasher works.

I DO know how it works... >_>

Through the Recovery menu, ri-

*facepalm*

Wow I suck.

But you can still boot it through the XMB. Thats what I was thinking.

If you try to use a Pandora with ofw, your psp will lock up when trying to boot. This will be better, as I wont need to Pandora-ize my battery.

(Thank god it was a Softmod!!!)

You've obviously got no idea what a Pandora actually does...you can't brick a PSP by inserting a Pandora battery into it.

I have got no idea!!

From what I've read now, my PSP wouldn't boot because the ofw doesn't like pandoras. If you want to argue over MY experience, pm me, lets leave the thread alone.

On topic, I'm waiting patiently Hellcat, you'll be my second god (after Notch) if you successfully do this!!

Put Pandora in PSP.
It does not boot.
Therefore it is either 1k or 2k (88v3 included)
I fail to see a problem.

@Schlupi - Hellcat's Recovery Flasher creates a new IPL for the FW it installs, meaning 88v3 and above get a cool brick cause they refuse to run FW because of that IPL.

The current version of hellcat's wouldn't run properly (or would fail to actually touch flash) on the current 6.x HENs, so while this will not give 3000s and Go's CFW, it's welcome in my book as it will allow earlier models to downgrade without a pandora on 6.31 or 6.35 (6.20 can current run X-GEN to flash).

The Recovery part is the thing to get excited about, 6.20 has nothing that 6.35 doesn't have/will have after those keys were released.

TBH I'm surprised we haven't seen a new PSP firmware yet

So why do people want to go back to 6.20 >.<
6.35 would actually be BETTER, you can still use PSN AND Homebrew
