I had this insane idea to work another headset besides the Headbanger to work thru the Wii's USB ports. Is that already a thing? Ive scoured the internet for around an hour trying to find something to cover my crazy delusions, but no luck.

Hello,

To my knowledge, only the Headbanger headset, one could communicate on the game Call Duty Wii.

I do not know of any other headphones that work with the Wii.

I mean through the methods of softmodding and running code to accept a different headset. I understand there were only two main communication methods presented in the Wii's lifetime, but I was wondering if someone has made their own way to connect a different piece of hardware and make it work.

For me it's Wii Speak.

Some programs (games, plus the Wii Speak Channel) support Wii Speak, some the Headbanger. Implementing support for other things is possible, of course, but nobody's interested aside from you and probably about two other people.

It's not like Nintendont, where the demand is obvious and the effort great.
