Hello to all
sorry if this question has already been asked, but I haven't found an answer yet.
I would like to buy a self-powered external hard drive for the left os, but many write that the maximum limit that can be read is 2 TB, while other people manage to use hard drives as large as 4 TB.
what's the truth?
which 4 tb models do you recommend (if it supports all 4 tb? maxton or wd?

thank you very much

Western Digital hard drives are a lot more reliable than Seagate. If you get a 2.5'' portable external hard drive, the switch dock's USB ports can power it.

I use a Western Digital EasyShare 5tb. I use a powered USB hub to make sure that there's enough power to the device. Without the Hub I do hear a clicking sound occasionally from the hard drive. With the hub no clicking. I'm pretty sure I'm better off with the powered Hub. 5 TB is working fine
