So this isn't any sort of rant or anything but I just wondered, it seems like every exploit of some sort is using the hax as apart of it's name. Soundhax, Ninjhax, Fasthax, Iosuhax, haxchi etc. It's not bad its just, maybe it's just me but I do enjoy different naming conventions of things. Remember Smashstack? Letterbomb? Indianapwns? We have Henkaku and Taihenkaku for vita. and (since I cant do this yet) I don't really know what PS4 hacking is called. I guess what I'm getting at is, I hope the whole *hax naming convention doesn't stick as we enter gen 9. New era new names amirite?

It all depends if Smea starts the trend again with the next generation of consoles.

He's the source of the original 3ds *hax, and even the wiiu haxchi.

but....they're all hax. thats why they use the name h a x.
I mean I get that and it's obvious, but so does so many other applications and they aren't called hax.

I know, and again i dont hate it, I just personally like see different names of stuff. makes it more special I guess. Like instead of for the Switch calling it Switchhax, maybe like, BootSwitch, or JoyBoot, or OffSwitch or something idk.

Didnt think about that but I guess I'm sorta the same? But see, I get the *iine is because the wii u and whatnot, I get *hax because 3ds(smea) and everything. Like when you hear those prefixes you think "oh it must be for _ console"

Again none of the names are bad. I just hope they dont stick

Make your own hack* and you get to name it what you like.

*assuming you make a useful change in a fork of an existing hack few would oppose you naming it whatever you so desired either.

Pending that day though your preference in the aesthetics of naming conventions in hacks will probably be decided by the whims of another. I would not be surprised either way but conventions in naming are long in games and hacking circles.

Basically this.

Hax is the sacred suffix of 3dsland. You will be executed for heresy upon any disagreement.

A land is only as strong as the games it has. Such threats may still just about work against those of the ouya archipelago but hardly carries any weight otherwise.
